A Community Response for Homeless Families |

The mission of Fort Bend Family Promise, is to meet the immediate needs of homeless families while empowering them toward self-sufficiency.
Fort Bend Family Promise was created to provide safe shelter, meals, and comprehensive support to families without homes. Founded in New Jersey in 1986, there are now 140 networks throughout the U.S. Family Promise programs are now found in most states across the country, with 5,000 participating congregations and more than 120,000 volunteers contributing their gifts of time and talent.
Fort Bend Family Promise unites communities of faith in a collaborative effort to assist homeless families. We partner with more than a dozen congregations who provide accommodations and meals for three to five families (up to 14 people) for one week every quarter.
